Many of the families assisted by us don’t have the possibility or capacity to prepare their children adequately for school. This problem is dealt with by our project “Ostrovut Na Detzata” (children’s island). Many children have concentration problems and behavioural disorders, so that especially in the beginning an intensive individual care is needed. In our pre-school program we try to promote the development of the children as intensively as possible. This includes the playful training of their fine and gross motor skills as well as the intellectual training which can be compared to pre-school education. There also are special activities like cooking together or little excursions.
The two teachers who are employed by us are supported by volunteers with specific qualifications. These are e.g. teachers and psychologists.
