Charity Boys' Home

Chinakakani is a village in Guntur District. It is found in Andhra Pradesh and lies about 200 km east of Hyderabad not far from the Bay of Bengal. The population depends mostly on growing cotton and tobacco, there is hardly any industry. The people in this district are very poor.

Charity Children’s Home was founded by a married couple of Indian Christians. They saw the misery of the children in this area and gave a house and a roofed space on their own property for the children’s home. Many parents or relatives do not understand how important it is for the children nowadays to get a good school education. Instead of going to school many children have to work in the fields or watch over animals to help supporting their families.

To reduce the misery of such children within their means the warden couple started this work. However, they were not able to bear all the expenses by donations from India. So they asked Christusträger-Waisendienst to bear the running costs for sustaining the children.

Today the enlarged house gives a new home to 30 boys. For the children this means care, accommodation, food, clothing and Christian instruction. There are all kinds of schools in the village or in the near vicinity which the children can attend. In this way the boys are prepared for a responsible life in their country.

Christusträger-Waisendienst supports this children’s home by personal sponsorships for the children.

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
